Very informative tour.

Our driver had a great sense of humor and brought up interesting facts, whether factual or not, which kept us amused during the long trip. I liked being able to stop at some of the shops, but appreciated knowing that costs would not be as bad for the same or similar items in the ABC shops, etc. While I personally had wanted to see the Big Island Candy Store, I didnt see the value of it for most of the people on the tour. I believe I was the only person who got something besides ice cream from there. I would prefer fewer sales stops that give us a bit more time to shop, should we want to. I was VERY appreciative that our guide listened to the other drivers and took us to Akaka falls instead of rainbow falls since the water had been diverted from Rainbow. Akaka was a gorgeous stop and I was very pleased to have seen it. I also really liked seeing the volcanoes and would have loved some more information while there. The stories we did get were very interesting.
I would definitely recommend both the trip and the driver, I believe his name was Jimmy or James.

We had a very enjoyable experience. The driver was informative and funny. We especially liked his stories about falling in love with Hawaii and coming here to make a new home. The pacing of the trip was also to our liking. Just about the time you got tired of the bus, we would stop at a totally delightful place. The 12 hours absolutely flew by.

The driver was such a nice fellow and kept us laughing all the way. The stops were well timed and we were picked up on time and returned on time. It was a very nice excursion on the big island. The bus was well equipped with excellent AC and comfortable seating.

My mother and I very much enjoyed the whole tour. Our guide and driver, Jan, did a brilliant job at keeping us well informed about what we were doing and seeing, was well versed in the technicalities of lava and knew his historical facts/dates thoroughly!

The bus driver was very good and answered any & all questions asked by the entire bus load. He had a lot of knowledge about the islands and was a safe driver and courteous to others on the road. The places we stopped were spaced out and enough time to enjoy.
