Description
This is truly the experience of a lifetime! We have designed this very special tour of Volcanoes National Park just for you!
Volcano Adventure Highlights
We spend approximately 15 minutes to one hour at each location. The order of the stops listed below is subject to change but you'll see it all!
Hilo: Drive through this historic town, now a quaint setting for merchants and shopping!
Rainbow Falls: Witness the resounding and deafening sound of this 80-foot waterfall as it rushes into a large pool below, almost 100 feet in width.
Volcanoes National Park: Admission included to this site. The park, built in 1916, displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration and evolution of volcanoes!
Jagger Museum: This hands-on museum has films of previous eruptions and current activity. Admission is free!
Kilauea Iki Crater: A large volcanic crater pit with proximity and annexation rights claimed by the mighty Kilauea Volcano itself.
Additional highlights on this tour include a visit to an orchid & anthurium nursery in Hilo and a hike over the 1980's lava flow that covered Kalapana and Kaimu Black Sand Beaches.

Please Note: This tour picks up from Hilo hotels or the Hilo airport. If you are staying in Kona, it is an approximate 2.5-hour drive to Hilo.
As we cannot predict weather and volcanic activity, features may vary daily depending on conditions. All passengers will be required to sign a release of liability form before departing their hotel.

I appreciated that it was a small, intimate tour, only around 20 people, on a very pleasant smaller bus
with large windows for great views. Our driver, John, was knowledgable, informative, and entertaining.
But I was especially impressed by the efficiency of your organization: We had an incident of our bus
breaking down, only 6 miles before we reached Volcanoes National Park (fan broke, and cut a radiator hose,
apparently). While we had to wait on the side of the road for a while, John got on the phone, and within a
short time a solution was arranged. One of your other tour buses was just finishing at Volcanoes, so he
drove down to his next stop, just behind us, left his tour group, and returned to transport us to our lunch
stop at the Volcano House. And while we ate, a replacement bus was sent for us to continue our tour.
So despite the breakdown, we didnt miss a single part of our tour. I was extremely impressed with how
calmly and efficiently an unfortunate matter was dealt with.
I had a great time, and will definitely book tours with you in the future.

The bus driver/tour guide was wonderful. His knowledge, story telling ability and people skills made the trip worth every penny and minute. We debated just driving to the sites ourselves but thought it would be much more interesting if a guide narrated the trip. We made the right decision, he made the difference. I could do without the stops at the stores but my wife would have been disappointed. I think a few more minutes at the lava tube (and have some flashlights on the bus) to explore the unlit portion of the tube would have made the trip more interesting. The tube was one of the highlights for me. If you have to cut some time out of the nut factory shopping stop, that would be OK, we were there for quite a while.
